Towards a novel quantitative approach for rockfall hazard assessment

Résumé

This study explores an original approach based on a probabilistic modelling to quantify the rockfall reach probability. The method relies mainly on the combination of several intermediate probabilities. An operational application is provided to integrate results from rock propagation simula- tion, along with two examples and a discussion of the theoretical and practical issues involved.
